About the Role:
As a Payroll Time & Labour Management Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of payroll and workforce time management activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and an exceptional employee experience.
You will act as a key point of contact for payroll and time-related enquiries, support system testing and enhancements, contribute to governance and compliance activities, and help drive process improvements across the function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve payroll enquiries with a focus on time and attendance, leave management, scheduling, roster maintenance and workforce records
  • Provide advice and support on payroll and workforce time management processes
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, user guides and training materials
  • Perform payroll validation and control activities to ensure accuracy, compliance and data integrity
  • Support troubleshooting of workforce management system issues and assist with defect resolution
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, enhancements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Prepare payroll and workforce reporting and support audits, compliance reviews and governance activities
  • Identify, assess and escalate payroll and workforce management risks while ensuring appropriate controls are maintained
  • Provide guidance and support to employees, leaders and team members on payroll and workforce management processes
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external service providers to enhance service delivery and achieve business outcomes
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy and customer experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven experience working within a payroll function, ideally in a medium to large organisational environment
  • Strong knowledge of workforce time and attendance management processes
  • Experience working with payroll and workforce management systems such as UKG, ADP or similar platforms
  • Sound understanding of payroll legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements and compliance requirements
  • Previous experience supporting system enhancements, testing activities, defect management and UAT
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
