A well-established financial services organisation is looking for an Operational Automation Manager (Financial Services) to join its business in Singapore. This is a newly created opportunity for someone who enjoys improving the way work gets done and can turn manual, inefficient processes into smarter and more scalable solutions.
Sitting in a central function and working closely with senior stakeholders, this role will focus on identifying opportunities across the business and driving practical automation initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall workflow effectiveness. The remit is especially relevant to functions such as Operations, Risk, and Finance, and the role will partner closely with technology teams to bring ideas into execution. The brief aligns with the underlying need to streamline repetitive workflows, improve efficiency, and work across business and IT stakeholders.

- Reviewing existing business workflows and identify areas where manual effort, duplication, and inefficiencies can be reduced
- Working with stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Finance, and other teams to understand pain points and improvement opportunities
- Translating manual processes into clear logical flows and recommend practical automation solutions
- Building or prototyping automation solutions using suitable tools such as RPA, API-based integrations, AI-enabled tools, or no-code/low-code platforms
- Partnering closely with internal technology teams to support implementation and rollout where required
- Driving automation initiatives from idea through to execution, including testing, user engagement, and process adoption
- Helping business users understand the value of automation and support change management during implementation
- Tracking outcomes and improvements, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and better operating processes
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in automation, process improvement, workflow transformation, or related areas
- Strong ability to analyse manual processes and break them down into structured, logical flowcharts or solution steps
- Hands-on experience in building or prototyping automation solutions, ideally using RPA, APIs, AI tools, or no-code/low-code platforms
- Good understanding of how to bridge business requirements with practical technical solutions
- Able to work independently in a standalone role and engage stakeholders across multiple functions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas clearly to non-technical users and drive adoption
- Project management capability, with experience driving initiatives from scoping through execution
- Experience in financial services will be viewed favourably
Why You Should Join Them
- Opportunity to take on a visible role with strong exposure to senior stakeholders
- Chance to shape and drive automation initiatives in a practical, business-facing environment
- Broad exposure across key functions such as Operations, Risk, and Finance
- Suitable for someone who enjoys both problem-solving and hands-on delivery, rather than being limited to pure strategy or pure support
- Strong platform to make measurable improvements and build scalable solutions in a regulated industry setting
