Are you an experienced Internal Audit Manager,  who enjoys leading teams, partnering with senior stakeholders and staying hands-on in audit delivery?
We are seeking an accomplished Internal Audit Manager to be part of a forward-thinking NSW State Government agency. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit (or Chief Audit Executive), you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a risk-based Internal Audit Plan while maintaining a practical, hands-on approach to planning, fieldwork, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

🥇Key Responsibilities
-Lead the delivery of the annual risk-based Internal Audit Plan.
-Manage, coach and develop the in-house Internal Audit team.
-Manage the performance and delivery of co-sourced audit providers, ensuring engagements are delivered on time, within budget and to the required professional standards.
-Personally lead complex, high-risk and strategic audit engagements from planning through to reporting.
-Review audit workpapers and reports to ensure quality, consistency and practical recommendations.
-Build trusted relationships with senior executives and business leaders.
-Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the Internal Audit function.
-Coordinate specialist audit resources where required and ensure effective integration with the internal audit team.

😁About You
-Australian PR / Citizen or Full Work Rights is needed.
-Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing audit teams.
-Thorough knowledge and practical application of the Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
-Experience managing co-sourced or outsourced Internal Audit providers and specialist consultants.
-Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at Executive and Board level.
-Professional qualifications such as CIA, CA, CPA, CISA or equivalent are highly regarded.
