We’re partnering with a small NSW Government agency, to secure an experienced Head of Finance for an immediate start with the current contract running through to 31 July.This is a senior leadership role where you’ll take ownership of financial strategy, governance and operations, while partnering closely with executives to drive informed decision-making and long-term sustainability. As Head of Finance, you will lead the end-to-end financial function, ensuring strong governance, compliance and commercial insight across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead financial strategy, planning and performance across the organisation
- Oversee statutory and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Manage cash flow, liquidity and financial risk
- Provide strategic advice to executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Drive best practice financial governance aligned to NSW Government frameworks
- Oversee procurement compliance, audit and risk management
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
Skills and experience:
- Significant experience leading finance functions (CFO / Head of Finance level)
- Strong knowledge of NSW Government financial frameworks and compliance requirements
- Expertise across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and modelling
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
- Experience leading teams and driving financial transformation
- CPA or CA qualification (essential)
