This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll step in immediately to drive financial close, ensure audit readiness, and provide strategic financial oversight across the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, you will:
- Lead financial year-end close and EFRA (early close) process
- Deliver a clean audit outcome and ensure compliance with NSW Treasury requirements
- Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
- Provide clear financial insights and commentary to senior stakeholders
- Partner with Directors and business leaders across the agency
- Lead and support a small, high-performing finance team
- You are a qualified finance leader with strong public sector experience and the ability to hit the ground running.
- Proven experience in NSW Government finance roles (essential)
- Strong understanding of Treasury policies (TPP) and reporting frameworks
- Experience leading year-end close and audit processes
- Previous experience as CFO / Head of Finance, or a Senior Finance Manager ready to step up
- Confident communicator – able to translate financial data for non-finance stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams
- Hybrid working (approx. 3 days in office / 2 days WFH)
- Split across CBD and Western Sydney (Kingswood)
