About the role
The Commercial Analyst – Technology
plays a pivotal role within the Technology function of this healthcare organisation, partnering directly with the CIO and Technology leadership team to turn strategy into measurable outcomes.
This role goes beyond reporting numbers — it provides sharp commercial insight, rigorous financial analysis, compelling business case development, and clear performance reporting to ensure technology investments deliver real value.
Success in this position requires exceptional analytical capability and the curiosity to dig deep into complex problems, connect the dots, and uncover answers others might miss. The Commercial Analyst ensures every technology investment is strategically aligned, financially sound, value-driven, and sustainable within the realities of a healthcare operating environment.
What's Required
This position requires someone with great analytical skills and curiosity to go out and find the answers to some of the more complex problems that need to solving. In addition the will have the following skills and expwerence:
Essential
â–ª 5+ years’ experience in commercial analysis, financial modelling or strategy roles.
â–ª Experience supporting technology, digital, or IT functions.
â–ªStrong financial modelling and analytical capability (advanced Excel required).
â–ª Experience developing business cases for capital investments.
â–ª Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
â–ª Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear executive insights.
Desirable
â–ª Experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries.
â–ª Understanding of digital health, clinical systems, infrastructure, or cloud environments.
â–ª Experience supporting cost optimisation and transformation programs.
â–ª CA/CPA/CFA/MBA or equivalent commercial qualification.
