This role will suit a hands-on Cloud Solution Architect with a strong engineering background who can combine technical architecture, governance and delivery support in a collaborative stakeholder-heavy environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead solution and cloud architecture design across AWS migration and modernisation initiatives
- Produce high-level solution designs, architecture artefacts and supporting documentation
- Work closely with Cloud Ops, Engineering teams, application owners and the vendor to support delivery outcomes
- Present and defend solutions through Architecture Review Board (ARB) and governance forums
- Ensure solutions align to security, scalability, operability and enterprise architecture standards
- Support engineering teams through implementation, troubleshooting and architecture guidance
- Engage across infrastructure, applications, data and security stakeholders in a complex enterprise setting
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or Solution Architect in large, complex environments
- Strong AWS architecture expertise, ideally with migration and post-migration uplift experience
- Background in cloud engineering, platform engineering or infrastructure engineering highly regarded
- Experience taking solutions through architecture governance, design authority and ARB processes
- Strong solution design, stakeholder engagement and documentation capability
- Ability to operate in a hands-on architect role with a background in Cloud Engineering ideal.
- Experience working in complex enterprise or highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected principles, cloud security patterns and modern architecture practices
- Broader Azure or GCP exposure beneficial though AWS is the core focus
