A global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Category Manager to drive strategic sourcing and supplier management across a complex international supply network spanning Asia, Europe, and North America.
This role will play a critical part in strengthening supplier performance, ensuring supply continuity, and delivering sustainable value across key categories. As a highly visible individual contributor, you will develop and execute category strategies, lead commercial negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement. You will also support new product introduction (NPI) initiatives, partnering closely with stakeholders across Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and R&D to ensure sourcing decisions align with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
The candidate should have at least 8 years of relevant electronics raw materials category management/procurement experience on a regional scale. The person will also bring strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost management, specifically within commodities like Integrated Circuits (IC). You should possess a data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage cost analysis, TCO modelling to drive procurement decisions and cost optimization. Equally important is the ability to operate independently, influence stakeholders across multiple functions and regions, and communicate effectively in a dynamic global business environment.
