We are seeking two experienced Business Analysts to join a major utilities organisation within its Infrastructure Delivery function. This is not an IT Business Analyst role. These positions will focus on undertaking a deep-dive review of operational processes, third-party delivery arrangements and infrastructure delivery models to identify gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Working across a complex infrastructure environment, you will gather evidence, engage with stakeholders and assess how documented processes and contractual arrangements are operating in practice. Your findings will ultimately be translated into clear, practical recommendations for senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and analyse qualitative and quantitative data, documentation and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, risks, pain points and improvement opportunities
- Conduct discovery activities and stakeholder interviews to validate findings and understand current operational practices
- Analyse current-state processes and interfaces to identify gaps, duplication, bottlenecks, inefficiencies and delivery constraints
- Develop process and interface maps and document roles, responsibilities and stakeholder interactions
- Review third-party contractual obligations and delivery models to assess whether they are operating as intended
- Undertake root cause analysis across process, governance, role clarity and performance issues
- Identify practical opportunities to improve infrastructure and third-party delivery processes
- Translate complex findings into clear, evidence-based recommendations
- Prepare findings reports, presentations and executive-ready materials
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Business Analysts or process improvement professionals with approximately 5–7+ years' experience and exposure to infrastructure, utilities, construction or complex project delivery environments.
- Strong business and operational process analysis experience
- Demonstrated process mapping and operating model review capability
- Strong gap analysis and root cause analysis skills
- Experience identifying process inefficiencies, duplication and governance impacts
- Exposure to third-party contracts, contractual obligations and delivery models
- Experience working within infrastructure, utilities, construction or project delivery environments
- Strong senior stakeholder engagement and interviewing skills
- Excellent written communication and executive report-writing capability
- The ability to translate complex analysis into concise, practical recommendations for senior decision-makers
- Experience with alliance contractual models, NEC contracts or other major infrastructure delivery models will be highly regarded.
