The Role
As Country Manager, you'll lead the local Clinical Operations function (Clinical Trial Management & Monitoring), acting as the senior in-country leader responsible for high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of clinical trials in line with ICH-GCP and local regulations. You'll partner directly with executive management on strategic and tactical growth of the department.
What you'll do
- Lead, hire, and develop the local CRA and Clinical Operations team
- Own resourcing, site assignments, and performance management for CRAs/contractors
- Represent Clinical Operations on cross-functional project teams
- Drive SOP development and ensure regulatory/ethical compliance
- Act as primary client-facing lead for South Korea, partnering with Project Management, Data Management, Medical/Safety, and Biostatistics
- Contribute to proposals, budgets, and bid defense meetings
- Manage large-scale, full-service, complex clinical trial projects
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in a clinical, scientific, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in clinical research, including significant line management experience
- Strong track record of interfacing with clients and cross-functional teams
- Oncology or complex therapeutic area monitoring experience strongly preferred
- Good communications skills in both English and Korean, for internal & external communications and engagement
