A financial services organisation is looking to hire an Application Support Engineer (.NET / RPA Automation) to join its applications team in Singapore.
The organisation operates in a business-critical environment where technology plays an important role in supporting daily operations, system reliability and process efficiency. This role will suit someone who enjoys application support, troubleshooting production issues, and finding ways to reduce manual work through automation.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal technology teams, business users, vendors and developers to support applications, improve system stability and deliver practical automation improvements.
 
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Applications, your role involves:
  • Providing L2/L3 support for business-critical applications, including incident investigation, issue resolution and escalation where required
  • Supporting and monitoring RPA bots / automation workflows to ensure they run reliably in production
  • Troubleshooting application issues across systems, databases, scripts and integrations
  • Performing root cause analysis for recurring incidents and recommend preventive actions
  • Supporting testing, deployment and post-release checks for application changes
  • Working with users to understand recurring requests or manual processes, and identify opportunities for automation
  • Building or enhancing scripts, reports or automation workflows to improve operational efficiency
  • Working with developers, infrastructure teams, security teams and vendors to resolve technical issues
  • Helping to improve monitoring, logging, runbooks and support documentation
  • Supporting service requests, change activities and production issue follow-up

Job Requirements
As a successful candidate, you will need:
  • At least 3 years of experience in application support, production support, RPA support or automation-related roles
  • Prior experience in financial services, securities, brokerage, trading, banking or similar environments would be advantageous
  • Good hands-on troubleshooting experience across applications, databases and production systems
  • Exposure to RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism or similar platforms would be useful
  • Experience supporting or troubleshooting .NET / C# applications would be highly preferred
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Able to understand user issues, investigate root causes and coordinate fixes with developers or vendors
  • ITIL certification or experience working in an incident / change / problem management environment would be advantageous
