Leading Recruitment Firms Merge To Form One Brand

Ethos BeathChapman to deliver broader capabilities across key international markets

Wednesday, November 11, 2015 - In a move designed to generate increased scale and geographic reach, two of the leading specialist executive recruitment firms operating across Australia, Asia and EMEA have officially joined forces and co-branded their businesses as one. Ethos Corporation (headquartered in Sydney) and BeathChapman (headquartered in Singapore) have combined their brands and will now be known as Ethos BeathChapman.

In coming together, Ethos BeathChapman will offer significant expertise across a range of industry sectors, including financial and professional services, ICT, consumer, engineering, commercial and industrial, healthcare and government. Clients who work with the newly-formed group will have access to deeper industry knowledge, specialisation and experience, while candidates will be able to benefit from a wider range of cross-border career opportunities.

The move is an exciting one for both firms, which have been working together on a progressive merger for over 12 months. The decision to come together as a unified brand is a further step in this process and supports the vision of both companies to create additional firepower within the executive recruitment sector and to eventually develop a global footprint. The new group reunites founding partners Andrew Keayes, Matt Beath and Matt Chapman, all of whom worked together previously.

Ethos Corporation's Managing Director, Andrew Keayes, said: “Matt and I have known each other for many years, having worked together back in 1999. It was our shared philosophy and strategic outlook that initially encouraged us to deepen our association. We have very similar business ethics and a common performance culture within our organisations. We are confident the benefits of joining forces will be widespread.”

BeathChapman's Managing Director, Matt Beath, echoed these sentiments and added: “The decision to co-brand our businesses as one is a natural step which will offer our combined client and candidate base many benefits. The move will also bring our two teams closer together and provide them with additional career and growth opportunities. We will continue to work with our colleagues at ChapmanCG, who focus on global search for the HR profession, as we further expand in International markets.”

Importantly, the co-branding cements the combined ambition of both organisations to redefine the executive recruitment sector and to build a truly global specialist firm. Says Keayes: “Like so many fields, executive recruitment is undergoing considerable disruption. Advances in technology and automation pose significant challenges for recruitment, however we continue to successfully navigate these challenges by ensuring we offer the marketplace a compelling proposition featuring highly personalised service combined with deep sector knowledge."

The new branding announced today features a refreshed corporate identity. Says Beath: “While our clients will see a change in the look of our brand, there will be no change to our ongoing commitment to deliver the best in terms of client service. This is an exciting time for both businesses and we have already seen the benefits of our increased reach and scale through improved efficiencies, increased productivity and enhanced best practices.”

Quick facts about the new Ethos BeathChapman:

  • Total staff numbers in excess of 70

  • Access to established and emerging markets across Australia, Asia and EMEA

  • Strong mix of local and multinational clients

  • Successful year on year growth across both businesses
