Our NSW State Government client is looking for a project manager to support a 5 year program of work with multiple streams. The Program's remit is to rationalise and modernise it's technology and devices across vehicles and on-person whilst ensuring the level of service is maintained / improved.

In this Program there will be elements of R&D design combined with core operational technology. You will be responsible for managing one of the streams on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Program Board in accordance with the NSW Government. Their prime responsibility is to ensure that the project delivers the required products and services within the specified time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits. 

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the project produces a result capable of achieving the benefits as defined in the Business Case and in conjunction with the Project Executive.

You Must Have:
  • Demonstrated experience with a strong track record in delivering high quality successful ICT projects using contemporary project management methodologies.
  • Worked on large-scale, multifaceted, transformational ICT projects.
  • Experience with build and deployment of IoT and devices such as body worn cameras would be highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience managing external Vendors establishing scope of work, architecture, design, through to delivery.
  • Extensive experience managing and motivating a successful internal team of 20 resources (Architects, Engineers, Test resources, Business Analysts).
  • Worked in an agile environment and be able to pivot between different project requirements – no day will be the same. You need to be able to navigate fast pace, large volume requirements.
  • Certification in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing quality and accurate project status reporting according to the required standards and accurately forecasting and estimating financial and resource needs.
  • Proven knowledge of and experience in organisational change / benefits management.
  • Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and Power Point).
