In the role of Group Chief Financial Officer, you will report to the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and to the Board. The Group CFO role is both a professional leadership and a business partnership role for the leading Food Production company.

As the Company continues to refine and deliver its strategic plans and key growth activities, the CFO will work closely with the executive team and Board in formulating, evaluating and implementing key initiatives. The Group CFO will be expected to drive improvement in financial reporting, management and control systems while being an effective and open source of ideas, advice, debate and decision-making support for the Managing Director, and other senior executives.

The Group CFO will have substantial interaction with the Board. He/she will also be the functional leader of the Finance, IT, General Counsel, Strategy and other administrative functions and teams.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with the Group CEO and the Board on strategic finance issues and general finance advice
  • Work in partnership with the Group CEO and leadership team in continuing to drive the future development and strategy of the business
  • Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders, bringing both leadership and technical capabilities
  • Be focused on operating process and control, along with risk management and financial performance as a result of the current significant success and growth
  • Financial & Accounting – Financial management accounting and reporting, statutory compliance, financial risk management, budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, corporate finance activities and tax structuring
  • Business Planning – Develop strategies to achieve plans and secure the growth of the company
  • Audit & Risk Management – Support internal audit arrangements, maintain and update the company’s risk register and mitigation strategies
  • Information Systems & Processes – Overall responsibility for maintaining and renewing IT systems, development and renewal of finance, costing and administration


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 20 years of experience with 8 years in a senior leadership / management role
  • Bachelors degree is required
  • CPA Qualified
  • Experience across all functions including IT, Finance, Supply Chain and Business Planning
  • Prior experience in managing a large team
