Responsibilities would include:
 
  • Formulate, implement and monitor the company’s Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (“ESG”) related strategies, with the aim of helping the company create a competitive advantage through its ESG initiatives.
  • Collate, validate and analyse of sustainability performance by working with members of other business units as well as external consultants
  • Formulate disclosure strategy and prepare sustainability reports in alignment to Global Reporting Index GRI Standards and Sustainability Reporting Guidelines of the Singapore Exchange, including progressive compliance to the recommendations form the Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures and any other relevant frameworks
  • Scout for, evaluate and recommend innovative technologies/start ups from companies and universities to assist the company, confer an advantage and potentially become a new business for the company
  • Work closely with company’s management / key business units / internal & external stakeholders to identify key innovation thrusts to improve ESG performance, implementing innovations and measuring their impact, and proposing scale-up strategies to drive business growth
  • Research on ESG-related matters and current trends
  • ESG performance benchmarking against comparable companies
  • Prepare ESG-related Board materials, particularly for the Board Sustainability sub-committee
 
 
Profile of Ideal Candidate: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience within corporate sustainability / ESG
  • Strong passion for sustainability, ESG, responsible investing and innovation
  • Lean team, family culture
  • Astute and possess a keen eye for detail, good credit sense and critical thinking/analytical skills
  • Strong work ethics and excellent learning / work attitude, independent and can perform without much supervision (hands-on)
  • Good stakeholder management to advise internal / external clients on sustainability strategy and process implementation
