We are working with a Banking Institute to secure an experienced Senior Data Engineer to step into a SAS Technical Lead with with Credit Risk experience
 
Key Information:
  • Annual Salary: $145,000 to $170,000 + super + up to $20,000 bonus depending on experience
  • Permanent Opportunity
  • Location: Melbourne Location preferred however our client is open to any location in Australia | Hybrid Set Up
 
Your Responsibilities:
The main accountability of this role is the technical leadership in the effective and efficient build and management of data assets, including design, development, documentation, support and maintenance.
 
Day to day, this looks like:
  • Lead the preparation of analytically ready data for use in descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics.
    • Work with business units to understand credit risk related data elements, including identification of relevant reference data, metadata and data lineage.
    • Analyse source system data and identify any derived measures that are used by business.
    • Development of data definitions
    • Data Publication
    • Source data identification
    • Data Investigation
  • Lead the development, management and support of analytically ready data, delivered in the Business Managed domain of the Analytics Data Layer and the Calculation Engine.
    • The development of analytical data routines for extraction, alignment, transformation and preparation for analytical consumption.
    • Engineering, detailed design and optimisation for data processes that exist in the Analytics Data Layer.
 
About you – you will bring:
  • Data Engineer with 7+ years’ experience of Commercial SAS
  • Advanced SAS coding skills, particularly in ETL
  • Experience in leading development teams delivering complex projects (i.e., involving the engineering of complex data processes)
  • Experience with end-to-end delivery and implementation
  • Experience in Credit Risk advantageous
  • Experience in Banking a must
