This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia’s most recognised FS brands. As their Audit Manager - Data Analytics you will report directly to the Head of IT Audit and will be part of a nimble, yet highly effective Internal Audit team. The main focus of this position will be the development of leading edge analytical capabilities that will assist the Audit team to work more efficiently and effectively and to achieve more powerful audit insights that will ultimately to drive improvements in the business control environment.
 
Ideally we are seeking a candidate who is strong on Continuous Control Monitoring / Data Analytics  / CAATS using various technologies such as SQL / Python / R / ACL or SAS. The position will also be involved in visualisation of data using either Tableau or PowerBI.

Some specific tasks will be to:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert regarding Advanced Analytics, providing advice to internal stakeholders and support to special projects as required;
  • You will challenge audit findings, access + extract + merge and cleanse data before presenting the data;
  • Be the thought leader and support in the areas of continuous monitoring / auditing and dynamic and emerging risk assessment techniques, machine learning etc;
  • Act as a project manager for designated Group Audit Analytics projects;
  • Continuous performing assessments of processes to identify inherent risks in order to recommend procedures for improvement;
  • Stake holder management internally and externally (service providers).
The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in data analytics and continuous control monitoring. You will hold a similar position in a complex business or be in the Profession in the IT Audit / Data Analytics or Forensic teams. You will have strong evaluation, design and mapping skills and will constantly strive to improve the effectiveness of controls and processes. It is essential that you have strong communication skills in order to communicate to clients the degree of gaps and deficiencies observed. This opportunity also offers strong career progression into the Data Office teams withing the business.

You will also have gained sufficient experience on data extraction or visualisation tools as well as workflow and monitoring tools. This opportunity will also lead the successful candidate to work on some exciting and cutting edge projects.
