This position will be responsible for working with management (country and regional) to coordinate, shape and implement the commercial operations best practices for the organization. Facilitates the deployment and implementation of the commercial strategy and segmentation-based investment models, assists in the development of tactical and operational plans as needed. Monitors and reports on progress as indicated. The position will have a direct reportee and will have a direct impact to the development of business and/or functional strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the functional and country leads in the development of Salesforce Excellence and Channel Excellence, ensuring the consistency of those plans with the broader business requirements.
  • Ensures the timely integration of defined objectives and expectations. Prepares specific business plans for new products and/or service lines. Participates in the planning, evaluation and execution of key business alliances. Develops and implements a system of monitoring and reporting progress on established strategic and tactical objectives; evaluates and reports on alternatives when course corrections are needed. Implements new business technology opportunities to meet evolving business and market requirements. Monitors expenses from and the implementation of an annual operating budget and capital budgets.

Salesforce Excellence
  • Develop frameworks and governance to drive cultural change of salesforce excellence from reactive to strategic
  • Drive the following metrics to achieve best in class standards:
    • Sales Rep productivity
    • Plan of Action Execution
    • Sales Skill Training
    • Clinical Product Training
    • Incentives
  • Collate, analyse and drive deep insights to elevate capability of sales force execution in each market.

Channel Excellence

  • Develop frameworks and playbooks to guide each market towards channel excellence
    • Distributor excellence
    • E-Commerce
  • Develop governance measures to optimally manage channel of sales in alignment with region and local strategic priorities.
  • Ongoing price analytics and tracking, leading to action plans to maximize impact
 
 Education:
  • University degree or Equivalent
 
Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Generally, we require you to have at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in the space of successful commercial management, such as marketing, sales and business development.
  • You must be Data driven, have an analytical mindset ie: process improvement analytical skills preferred.
  • Possess a quality sense of market dynamics from strategy to implementation.
  • Balance of both commercial capabilities and sound capabilities on data and its analysis expanding on how to develop the strategies based on the numbers.
  • Have good exposure to different markets (local and regional), experience working with different functions and diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders like customers, partners, suppliers and employees, driving collaboration across multiple functions, teams and geographies.
  • Strong executional focus with a keen eye for details
  • Proven ability to deliver results in challenging and complex environments
  • Strong Project Management

Preferred:
  • Prior experience in commercial excellence in a regional setting is highly preferred

  • Proficiency in English
  • Up to 10% International Travel annually
