Exciting newly created opportunity with growing insurance group offering excellent work life balance and flexibility (including hybrid working arrangement).

This insurance group is on an impressive growth trajectory having launched several new products and insurance lines and as such the finance function is growing to support the business growth. They have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance manager with an insurance background to join the business in a role which will cover both BAU and Project activities.  Reporting into the CFO and leading a team of 4 you will focus on:
  • Lead the team in delivering financial accounting and month end close activities
  • Delivering of financial reporting, financial statements and statutory reporting requirements
  • Manage the yearly and half yearly external audit process liaising with external auditors
  • Implement the new IFRS 17 accounting standard and develop all new processes relating to the standard
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimise financial processes across the finance function and implement these changes
  • Assist in FP&A and budgeting processes
  • Leadership, mentoring and development of finance team.
This is a great role for a seasoned finance leader with an insurance background looking for a broad role offering a lot of autonomy

Required Skills and Experience:

  • CA/CPA qualified with minimum 5 years experience in a finance manager level position 
  • Deep insurance background (life, general or reinsurance would be considered)
  • Strong financial control and statutory reporting experience
  • Demonstrable track record of team leadership and development
  • Exposure to IFRS 17 (desirable)
