The role will include, but not be limited to;

  • Support investment attraction opportunities including international and inter-state business leads and opportunities and management of Jobs Plus applications
  • Engage with defence and aerospace industry and lead industry development activities.
  • Support industry strategy and major campaigns, including stakeholder engagement and industry case studies.
  • Manage programs such as Regional Defence Networks Program, including performance management and ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, and in line with the Investment NSW’s requirements.
  • Manage Investment NSW’s presence at major trade-shows including Indo Pacific, Land Forces and Avalon
  • Lead stakeholder relationships through established forums including the monthly NSW Defence Networks Forum and NSW Regional Defence Working Group.
  • Manage media campaign including sector newsletters, Sponsorship and editorial opportunities 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Your ability to manage stakeholders at different levels
  • Demonstrated project and stakeholder management skills, with experience in undertaking research, data collection and analysis.
  • Experience working in or with government agencies, or a sound understanding of government policy processes and governance.
  • Knowledge of the advanced manufacturing and/or the defence and aerospace ecosystem.
