This leading Media company operates globally, leveraging their strength of brand across a wide business network of countries, offering a diverse portfolio of products and platforms to their long-standing users. They are currently on a digital transformation journey, evolving their business with new technologies and modern strategies, developing next generation applications, digital platforms and personalized content.
 
In this role you will be given the opportunity to be a part of this digital journey by adopting new technologies, implementing modern development practices and to work alongside some of the market’s best technical talent.

The main goal of this position is to help develop their new platform and be involved in the entire SDLC. This individual will be given the career path to become the next Team Lead of this division.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for web development, API implementation and maintenance
  • Work closely with Engineers, QA’s, system engineers and project managers to deliver high quality products
  • Be involved in an AGILE environment and development process
  • Perform system testing, user acceptance testing and performance testing
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Release new features, work with your peers in reviewing code and investigating bugs
  • Find innovative new methods to tackle problems with your team
  • Adapt to new technologies
  • Communicate openly and proactively with your fellow engineers


Requirements:
  • Higher Diploma or Degree holder in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineer or similar
  • At least 3 years’ experience in web and backend development
  • Experience with at least one backend language; Java, PHP, Node or Python
  • Experience with frameworks and databases; React, React Native, NodeJS, MongoDB, MS SQL Server
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies; AWS, GCP or Azure is a plus
  • Experience working with multiple technologies and proven method of selecting appropriate tools 
  • Required spoken, written and reading with Cantonese language
