Our client is a leading global financial services group with an excellent culture and work life balance.  Due to significant growth in their Australian business as well as numerous key projects underway they have a newly created opportunity for a qualified financial accountant available at short notice to join their high performing finance team in this broad role. 

Reporting into a supportive Group Financial Accounting Manager you will focus on:
  • Prepare quarterly Group reports submissions.
  • Preparation of statutory and regulatory returns on a timely basis, including Quarterly Australian Bureau of Statistics returns and NZ returns.
  • Reconciliation, review and clearing of bank accounts.
  • Quarterly reporting to Corporate Centre on an IFRS basis.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations promptly each month end and throughout the month
  • Assist with annual financial statements (AIFRS basis) being completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Assist with semi-annual and annual APRA returns.
  • Assist with the testing and implementation of new IFRS standard across ledger group.
  • Ad hoc financial reporting tasks and projects.

This role would suit a recently qualified accountant who is available at short notice with a financial services background.
