A major success story in the Australian Fintech sector, my client, due to continued growth across all areas of the business are seeking a high calibre individual to join the finance team and assist in the delivery of financial reporting and tax compliance for the Australian business.

Your key responsibilities will include:    
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly profit and loss, balance sheet reports and Cashflow forecast;
  • Assist with preparing quarterly BAS, Company Tax Return, QTFN and Annual Investment Income Report;
  • Assist the Senior Accountant with the consolidation of financial reporting schedules as per the Head Office requirements 
  • Assisting with year-end audit, the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts;
  • Consult and develop technical papers in respect of new business initiatives 
  • Drive process and system change on an ad-hoc basis   
  • Coaching and development of junior team members
Key requirements for the role include:
  • CA / CPA qualified or nearing completion of studies;
  • Between 2 - 5 years hands-on accounting experience;
  • Experience gained in the FinTech, Financial Services or Technology sector is preferred with experience operating effectively in a smaller, less structured environment;
  • Role is also suited to individuals currently working in either Business Services or External Audit (Chartered Accountancy firm) keen to make their first move into a commercial accounting role;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Self-motivated, enthusiasm and a positive attitude;
