Accountant Duties

* Melbourne CBD 
* Perm position after 12 months contract 

• Prepare monthly financial and management reports (Balance sheet, Profit & loss and cashflow statements) in accordance with relevant GAAP and IFRS for submission to holding company, including the provision of variance analysis and commentaries.
• Perform subgroup consolidations for reporting to the holding company
• Prepare and maintains monthly, financial schedules – including lease tenancy reports, bank reconciliations, P&L reconciliations (vs operators financials) etc.
• Prepare monthly BAS
• Maintain debtor and creditor records on accounting system. Performance of monthly balance sheet reconciliations (including intercompany).
• Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, and make recommendations for continued improvements.
• Assis with Internal and external audit.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Close monitoring and management of operational cashflow and bank loans including loan compliance matters.
• Preparation and submission of annual forecast and budget.
• Assisr in of cashflow projections.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll and submit STP
• Prepare and lodge company payroll tax, PAYG & FBT
• Prepare corporate tax submissions and assist with ATO queries
• Any other ad-hoc projects or assignments as assigned.
