Our client a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Senior Project Officer-Risk & Governance to join their team on a contract until April next year with potential for extension.
The purpose of the role is to lead risk assessment of Planning Reform Program by reviewing existing or developing new processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with engagement and Planning Reform Program risk owners to ensure assigned risks are regularly reviewed and mitigated and prepare regular risk reports for the Planning Reform Oversight Committee
• Identify and report potential governance and risk issues with regards to Planning Reform Program and its initiatives and provide advice and recommendations to the manager to mitigate potential risk
• Support the manager in fulfilling assurance requirements for the Planning Reform Program, including liaising with Corporate Audit team and Planning Reform Program key stakeholders
• Support the team in monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the implementation and outcomes of Planning Reform Program

Essential requirements

• Demonstrable expertise in application of relevant approaches and techniques for program and project risk management and reporting.
• Demonstrable experience in working with senior executives, and working across business functions
• Experience in managing complex, diverse and evolving program and project reporting requirements in an environment characterised by competing priorities and tight deadlines.
