Research and Policy Officer (Grade 7/8)

Our client a leading NSW Government Department are looking are a Research and Policy Officer to join their team on a contract until the end of financial year (June 2021). There may be potential for the role to extend past this stage .

Role: To collate and prepare and internal report on mandatory disease testing and the NSW scheme. Overall outcome should be a consolidated record of the background to the scheme in NSW and pertinent issues that should guide the Organisations proposed oversight.

Day to Day Duties:

• Literature review of mandatory disease testing regimes (including evaluations, issues identified, operational models)

• Detailed background to the NSW Bill

• Outline of available evidence

• The focus of media and Parliamentary debate and issues being raised

• Critical issues to consider / monitor in oversighting the operation and administration of a mandatory disease testing scheme.

To Eligible for this role you will have

• You have strong research and analytical skills

• You have strong organisational, written and verbal communications skills

• You have polished interpersonal skills and excellent time management

• You are a team player with great initiative and ability to self-manage

• Previous Experience in a simiar role in NSW Government
