My client is one of the leading Multinational Organization within the Airlines industry, they are currently looking for a driven leader to supervise and direct a team of developers. In order to create the best, most affordable flight schedules and crew rosters for pilots and cabin crew. The chosen applicant will be expected to perform the dual duties of a manager and a software developer.
About the role
- Find the best Crew Planning solutions while adhering to legal requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and company advancements.
- Examine and enhance the process for developing apps, and create complex programs with appropriate debugging techniques.
- Ensuring that appropriate testing methodologies are used and that testing quality is maintained.
- Take the initiative and offer direction while testing various project components and when designing test cases, especially for challenging scenarios.
- Manage user feedback, emergent issues, and modification requests proactively while upholding project deadlines and schedules.
- Assist developers and support staff technically to maintain the overall level of service quality.
- Engineering, science, or technology degree. It is preferable to have a specialty in information technology, computer science, information science, or operational research.
- a minimum of ten years' experience in a support, system development, or engineering capacity.
- strong background in and knowledge of agile development, operations control, and IT service management.
- Knowledge of the Jeppesen RAVE programming language and experience with Jeppesen technologies, such as airline crew management, are preferred.
- Shell programming, Linux servers, the Behave framework, Git version control, and report writers expertise
