Partnered with a client in the midst of a major digital transformation focused on development of a new Retail platform covering Greenfield Product, Customer Self Service and Sales Portal. We are searching for a passionate Front-end Developer. Currently operating the most modern of JavaScript and Typescript platforms in React 16, ES10 and ES.Next!
 
This team is modern, AGILE driven operating in 2 weekly deployment SCRUM teams. This extends to both the uplift on BAU platform through to the primarily green work already signed off. In terms of your personal input, you have potential to work with these new projects from R&D and PoC through to deployment from scratch as well as solution design and develop around uplifting their outdated applications to new architecture.

In the modern world of course, you will need to be able to work from home flexibly to meet your requirement deadlines, but as we encourage a collaborative approach, team meetings are held weekly to catch-up fortnightly for SCRUM planning and overall conversation on new projects. One other thing to characterise is we are very in tune with our customer feedback, meaning working with the BA team to convert customer feedback into new features, and working with pro-active BA’s in the past will really benefit this team.
 
So what will you be doing day to day?
  • Support the Lead Developer and other members of the digital team to deliver required solutions
  • Work towards the goal of continuous delivery and contribute to the evolution of the automated pipeline
  • Assist the solution team to break down concepts into work items that can be easily understood by product owners and other developers
  • Ensure that the architecture of the digital strategy is followed effectively
  • Enable the test automation to be practices and leveraged efficiently
 
What you’ll bring:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Front-End Developer
  • Commercial Experience working on React (We are using React 16.10)
  • Experience using JavaScript and other frameworks such as Angular or similar
  • Knowledge of Typescript, ES6/ESNEXT and other customer facing solutions
  • Experience working with component libraries.
  • An understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in languages or other platforms such as .NET, Golang etc is a nice advantage.
