This Australian leading financial services organisation is seeking to hire a Director - Technology, Strategy, Architecture and Performance to help lead their technology transformation.

This role is a newly created role leading the Technology Strategy, Architecture & Performance division, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer. The role is a key member of the Technology Leadership Team.

Main focus areas involve;
  • Technology transformation: Partner with the CTO to drive the transformation of the technology function, executing and embedding the new operating model.
  • Technology strategy and roadmaps: Create the technology strategy and roadmaps and act as the ‘custodian’ of the technology strategy and its alignment to the organisation and Business Unit strategies.
  • Enterprise, platform, and solution architecture:  Group-wide future-state architecture; provide architectural insight, advice and support in the design and implementation of effective, consistent architectural artefacts and processes that drives business outcomes.
  • Technology performance, reporting and governance: Monitor progress of the technology transformation and delivery of the technology strategy. Ensure an effective governance and reporting framework exists to enable timely and accurate communication of Technology’s progress and performance.
  • People Leadership: Build and maintain a high performing team who are held accountable to deliver the technology plan via high performance leadership, inclusive leadership, and employee engagement
To be a success in this role you will need a good blend of the following skills and experience;
  • Solid track record of setting and delivering an organisation-wide Tech Strategy.
  • Solid track record of setting and overseeing the optimisation of technology operating models, including metrics, scorecards, governance, cost, delivery, and capability models.
  • Experience leading technology architecture teams and the development of architectural artefacts including roadmaps and patterns.
  • Proven track record leading transformational, strategic change and delivering measurable operational efficiencies and simplification.
  • Excellent understanding of the underlying cost drivers for a technology function.
