Our client is prestigious professional services firm with a very high performance culture currently experiencing rapid growth. They are currently looking for a strong Commercial Finance Manager with outstanding business partnering skills to join initially on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. 

Reporting to the CFO you will provide business partnership and support to the Australian and APAC finance teams as well as senior partners and the Managing Director.  

Key deliverables will include:
  • Provide financial planning and analysis support including preparation of the annual budget and other ad hoc analysis
  • Provide support to the Australian Finance team across commercial requirements for customer proposals, pricing, and letters of engagement and contract development
  • Prepare analysis and reporting of monthly and annual results for APAC and Australia
  • Work with the Regional CFO to support integration activity related to potential M&A
  • Support global functions with timely responses to requests for information e.g. revenue forecast, cashflow reporting, monthly variance analysis and year-end reporting
  • Contribute to various regional or global initiatives related to changes to accounting policies, internal policies, and system enhancements or implementations (e.g. GL implementation in region, global expense policy implementation, and various regional reporting implementations).
  • Involvement in other ad hoc projects as directed by the Regional CFO team

This is a highly commercial role which would suit a strong FP&A and business partner ideally with experience in a professional services firm with a partnership based ownership model.  In particular experience around commercial agreements, pricing, tenders etc would be of significant interest.

Minimum skills and experience:
  • CPA/CA qualification
  • Minimum of ten years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience in a high performance culture, preferably within a professional services firm
  • Strong accounting background, with a sound understanding of statutory financial requirements
  • Strong FP&A & Business partnership experience
  • Strong system skills including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, data base accounting and financial reporting software essential
