Join a transformative and leading international general insurance business as Business Lead, Product Owner (Contract) for Consumer Lines Portfolio.
The Business Lead/ Product Owner will report to the Head of Distribution and work closely with the Strategic Transformation team to spearhead the delivery of a new retail platform. You will provide expertise across business priorities, customer centric items, user stories, stakeholder alignment, go-to-market strategy, and drive change management. Internally you will collaborate with technical product owners, scrum master and multiple stakeholders in coordinating day to day activities Experienced general insurance professionals who have strong project management skills and relevant transformation project experience in such are encouraged to apply. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Represent the Consumer Lines business and other stakeholders across operations, customer service, underwriting, pricing, and distribution to help define the strategy and priorities for new retail platform.
  • Work with Transformation Team and relevant stakeholders to define roadmap and delivery strategy for new retail platform.
  • Act as first point of contact and trouble shoot all questions and issues.
  • Drive decision making on any product / system related topics.
  • Get alignment across the business stakeholders on strategic priority and support execution team.

Key Experience and Qualifications  

  • Previous work experience in General Insurance- Consumer Lines/Personal Lines (Motor , Personal Accident, Travel)  Insurance as Underwriter or Distribution desirable.
  • Must demonstrate strong skills in self-managing, prioritizing, and troubleshooting when issues arise.
  • Agile way of working and able to break down project delivery into prioritized segments derived through business value 
  • Strong grasp of business proprieties and able to get alignment across diverse stakeholders  
  • Strong consumer lines/personal lines insurance business knowledge and decision-making skills would be good to have.
  • Flexibility and collaborative 
  • Software skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, JIRA woud be good to have
  • Basic understanding of supporting large projects and Agile delivery would be good to have
