Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial and management reports of Southeast Asia performance to the Regional General Manager and APAC Head Office in Singapore.
  • Lead the Southeast Asia finance and work closely with local finance teams of entities across Southeast Asia, and oversee their daily operations.
  • Take ownership and initiative to review, enhance, streamline and monitor finance workflows, internal controls and processes to improve efficiency and safeguard the assets of the region.
  • Ensure effective cash management and treasury duties across the Southeast Asia entities.
  • Review Group budget/forecast of the Southeast Asia entities on a yearly and quarterly basis, as well
  • as ad-hoc when necessary.
  • Play an active role to contribute to the strategic planning of the business and provide financial insights and advice to business function teams and Regional General Manager
  • Go-to-person for the Southeast Asia entities if support is required for liaison with external professionals and government bodies on audit, tax, secretarial and other issues to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance for the region and the Group.
  • Lead, coach and guide the Southeast entities’ Finance team, take responsibility for their engagement and development.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 10 years post qualification experience in Finance department of a multinational company
  • Experience with regional accounts consolidation and transfer pricing
  • Good knowledge of the international accounting and tax standards
  • Experience in the logistics sector is preferred
  • Experience with M&A (Merger & Acquisition) projects
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics an added advantage
  • Excellence in Intermediate to advance Microsoft Office
  • Southeast Asia experience preferred
  • Proven ability to work on cross-functional and multicultural teams
  • Good attention to details and with excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Excellent team player, energetic, work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts)
