Our client, an energy-technology outfit, is formed via a joint venture alliance of two established brands: a highly rated Oil & Gas service and a world-class leader in artificial intelligence technologies based in the Silicon Valley.
In line with their growth strategies, they are looking for a Senior Deal Maker to join the team in building their Asean practice, based out in Bangkok (Thailand).
This is a strategic appointment. The role will develop the market approach strategy and vision towards an impact on the short-medium term and new markets' development. 
The mission of this role is to also to enable the pull-through of our client's solutions and services through consulting and demand generation for the new go-to-market Industries Solutions portfolio and execution of strategy projects. 
The role also focuses on developing and selling AI applications for O&G customers and deploying digital transformation teams into customer environments to accelerate complex, enterprise-AI projects for energy solutions. 
 Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Partner with global key account executives to position our client's AI solutions within the top O&G installed based accounts. 
  • Play a leading role in the sales process when negotiation involves a strategic, high volume or financial impact. Lead negotiations with client organizations. Indirect leadership and influence multidisciplinary teams internally (e.g. Engineering, Legal, Risk, Finance etc). 
  • Be directly involved in enterprise sales projects with a total contract value of tens of million dollars of enterprise software license and services
  • Possess sophisticated product knowledge, including a thorough technical knowledge of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and knowledge of the operational environment where the products will be used (solutions are client-specific and involve important research, customization and value selling approach). 
  • Navigate complex sales processes, long-term contract conditions, indirect management of internal stakeholders (e.g. Services, Commercial Finance, Legal, Product Development, other product line leaders) and external, such as government (PPPs), etc. 
To be considered, you must have:
  • 10+ years of relevant Global Sales Leadership experience in Enterprise Software, preferably selling into the Energy / Oil & Gas sector
  • Proven track record in selling high dollar value (product and services) in a leadership role 
  • Proficient understanding of selling enterprise cloud software, including SaaS and Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of the external market and Oil & Gas industry trends 
  • Travel 30-40% of the time, as required
  • Master level degree in Business or Engineering preferred
