Join a highly established and well-performing insurance business as AVP, Manpower Planning and Control. As the lead, your main role is drive the planning and budgeting process of manpower development, as well as managing of complex on-boarding cases. You will also work closely with the HOD on key initiatives that involve cross-functional collaboration with internal colleagues to support the increase manpower growth and retention of tied agency and FA distribution force. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with functional expertise in the following current and/or previous areas of actuarial, finance, risk or compliance to step up and gain business experience. 

 Key Responsibilities 
  • Lead the planning process of manpower development. Ensure internal stakeholders are aligned on the strategy and key initiatives of the department.
  • Lead the budgeting, tracking and controlling process of manpower development budget to ensure the spending and investments are within control in achieving the department’s objective. This will involve collaboration with other departments such as Distribution Management Department, Distribution governance and Group Finance.
  • Lead the case management process of complex on-boarding cases, collaborate with Distribution Risk & Compliance, Group Risk Management and Internal Audit
  • Lead the planning and support the execution of strategies to increase growth size of agency force in increasing and sustaining agency sales and market share, covering various profiles of undergraduates, fresh graduates, mid-career switchers.
  • Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  • Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively share best risk management practices
  Our Requirements
  • Degree or higher educational qualifications
  • At least total 8 years of Insurance and/or Distribution experience, preferably with additional experience in Finance or Compliance
  • Experienced in stakeholders management
  • Able to lead and inspire a team to achieve the common corporate goals
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Sociable, driven and meticulous personality
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
  • Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
