Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical hardware engineers and team leads. 
  • Establish and monitor the team performance periodically. Identify and adopts best practices and lesson learnt from inside and outside company for continuous improvement.
  • Plan department budget and track spending.
  • Manage, coach others and hold self and others accountable for the activities on hardware team and cross-functional alignment for achieving goals and meeting commitments
    • High level effort estimation, resource allocation and details tasks planning.
    • Ensure product development activities comply with corporate and business level processes and procedures.  Be responsible for helping the team think and create a continuous improvement mindset against those processes and procedures.
    • Execution, including drive problems toward resolution when encountering ambiguity, uncertainty, or inflexibility.  Help the team to remove barriers.
  • Encourage a positive work environment to foster outstanding performance. Possess and share a vision of success and work with individuals to help them reach their full potential.  Celebrate and reward significant achievement in others.
  • Champion new ideas and initiatives.  Embrace the team for challenge and strive for success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Min 10 years of experience in hardware / embedded product development.  
  • Min 5 years of managerial experience in product development and managing a large team size 10-20 engineers.
  • Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously and complex/large hardware development projects.
  • Experience in project planning and tracking based on waterfall or agile methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and developing hardware in high speed digital design, power supplies and analog circuit.
  • Experience in leading process improvements to improve organization capabilities with proven results.
  • Have strong people management and organization skills.
  • Great attention to details and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with people of all levels and cross borders.
  • Highly motivated and independent individual with ability to make important decisions.
