Join a well-established life insurance business in the Asia region. As Product Development Manager, you will be responsible to develop the product proposition and execute product development initiatives to support all product strategies. You will work closely with the actuarial and product team to communicate product requirements for pricing and systems implementation efforts, prepare for product business case approvals. In this department, you will have access to gain working experience across a wide suite of products. The ideal individual would at least come in with good working knowledge of health products, including protection, shield to support the portfolio.

Your role:

  • Product Conceptualization. Plan and manage product development activities for identified customer segments, including engaging relevant stakeholders in upstream discussions, seeking approval from relevant forums and ensuring timelines are met
  • Performs customer research and competitive analysis
  • Work closely with Actuarial and Product Implementation and communicate product requirements for pricing and system implementation efforts
  • Implement product and pricing strategy, trigger product risk assessment and prepare product approval documentation and business cases
  • Coordinate and obtain sign-off for Product Business Case from relevant Functional Heads, and submit for approval
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards relating to product development and company-wide policies
  • Work with both the agency and bancassurance channels to achieve channel’s KPIs
  • Product portfolio management
  • Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
Our Requirements

  • Tertiary education qualification in Actuarial, Insurance, Finance or Marketing related disciplines
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, ideally in product development, marketing or actuarial pricing
  • Possess strong traits of analytical-minded, good understanding of financial and insurance concepts and have good quantitative abilities
  • Excellent planning, organizational, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
  • Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
