A European Reinsurance business is looking for an experienced technical underwriting administrator.You will execute all underwriting support, with high quality and accurate data input and services for the Asia Non-Marine Underwriting team. This is a permanent position, and you will be able to fully access all underwriting systems while working from home. We would love to have a detailed, organised administrator to join the team who is committed to the role and growth of the business here in Asia. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Key role as Super-User for the Underwriting System. To be the first point of contact for all Asia's Non- Marine underwriting administration
  • To ensure complete and accurate underwriting records in the system is maintained as per Underwriting Guidelines and Compliance Requirements
  • To complete technical premium bookings within the stipulated time frame
  • To ensure accurate premium bookings with minimal entries reversal affecting cross departments' functions
  • To assist in Underwriters' technical underwriting process and follow ups (including but not limited to geo-coordinates search, claims history checks, premium payment checks, endorsement processing etc.)
  • To provide necessary business reporting support to Head of Asia as and when required
  • To be responsible for weekly minutes preparation, recording and distribution 
  • To provide assistance in the organisation and preparation of company and/or team market events to raise the external profile of the business
  • To engage and collaborate with other functional departments in both branches to ensure a smooth overall underwriting administration for Asia team
  • To identify, feedback and initiate process improvement plan to achieve operational efficiency and productivity
  • To assist in assigned office administrative (non underwriting) function 

Key Requirements

  • Prior experience in similar technical admin role to support Underwriting team
  • A good understanding of reinsurance operations
  • Relevant work experience on Non Marine Facultative Reinsurance class of business highly desirable and will be strongly considered 
  • Minimum GCE "O" and/or relevant insurance qualifications 
  • Responsible and good working ethics
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Good team worker with positive and collaborative attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well at all levels both internally and externally
  • Good command of English (written and verbal)
