Head of Operations – Group Insurance

Join Singapore’ s well-established insurance business and oversee their group insurance business’s operations department. As Head of Operations,  you will achieve excellent TAT and delivery of quality services for your clients and customers. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across processing, claims , account management and underwriting. You are confident to lead a large scale team and work under tight time-lines. Your depth of experience in group life and medical insurance is critical , as well as strong management experience to succeed in this role. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the BAU operations of the group insurance division
  • Analyse and provide timely management reports on policy issuance & services, underwriting & claims trends to propose remedy actions to increase staff productivity, as well as to deliver high standard of services to end customers
  • Work with claims and managed care sections to identify the medical usage pattern recognising any over-usage or misused, to find resolution for effective cost management for the customers and insurer
  • Elevate our services towards active health care management for the benefits of our customers
  • Responsible for improving the work flows, systems to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness, in this aspect work with the business solution and IT teams
  • Resolve operational issues with the intermediaries and direct corporate clients to achieve high service delivery in new accounts acquisition and retention
  • Participate in products development & risk management of group insurance business
  • Participate in corporate planning, risk & compliance, regulatory & legal matters, including industry projects
  • Participate in pre-sales activities to show case the operation ability and servicing model

 
Our Requirements

  • Degree or other insurance related professional qualification
  • At least 10 years of life & medical insurance experience and managerial skill 
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of risk management or customer services background are additional plus points
  • Leadership skills, develop and lead team members to work together
  • Action and project oriented individual with focus on improvement and change and ability to work under pressure or tight time lines
  • Excellent planning, organisational, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
