The Education Projects Manager (EPM) will support the Education Director to ensure that all strategic education projects are completed on time and to a high standard of quality.   The EPM will coordinate and consult with multiple staff and outside agencies to implement and embed all education projects.
 
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation and embedding of projects in the Education Pillar of our company’s strategic plan
  • Identify and mitigate critical issues and risks of project implementation as well as develop business cases specifically for the education industry
  • Manage work-streams or projects from initial data collection and analysis to creating final deliverables/presentations
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with colleagues from the schools, vendors and research agencies in region
  • Research into the viability and sustainability of each solution by using appropriate tools and methods
  • Organize the meeting of stakeholders to discuss the options at regular intervals
  • Carry out risk assessment for each option and put interventions in place as needed
  • Produce a business plan for each option which concludes on a go/no go assessment
  • Ensure key stakeholders are kept up-to-speed on the progress of all projects
  • Set up and maintaining a fit for purpose programme management process to provide oversight to all education strategic projects and ensure alignment to the Asia strategy
  • Provide reporting to the Education Director and relevant senior management
 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience or experience in managing business strategy for companies or schools
  • Champion-level organizational skills
  • Excellent Analytical skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, both spoken and written
  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives
  • A dynamic self-starter who is able to work effectively individually and collaboratively as a team
  • A great listener who is decisive and can manage people without the need for authority
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification or related experience
