Our client is a biotechnology company with sales globally. The company develops cutting-edge miRNA assay technologies and products for research and clinical diagnostic use. They partner world-renown clinical institutions and multinational pharmaceutical companies to develop novel blood-based cancer diagnostic and prognostic tests.
The successful incumbent will develop market strategies and execute commercial plans for lifesciences research and molecular diagnostic markets in the United States. This position will be responsible for leading the go-to-market planning and commercial launch of miRNA research and clinical diagnostic products in USA.
Life Sciences Solutions
  • Develop product positioning and value proposition for miRNA research products / services for US
  • Refine and execute go-to-market plans for US, with the support of Singapore team
  • Develop business relationship and close deals with pharmaceutical companies, cancer centers, academic institutions on miRNA research projects
  • Influencing KOLs and be the company’s spoke person for all relevant events
  • Develop and manage distribution channels in US
  • Support the company's collaboration with Harvard BIDMC ncRNA Core
Clinical Diagnostics
  • Assist the leadership team to develop go-to-market plans for miRNA RUO and IVD assays for US markets, based on strong understanding of customer needs, market and internal dynamics
  • Make recommendations on feasibility, timeline and resources required for FDA registration of miRNA diagnostic assays
  • Develop business relationship with key cancer centers, tertiary clinical institutions, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies to support the development and validation of miRNA RUO and IVD assays
  • Manage US based collaborations on biomarker discovery and clinical assay validation studies
  • Masters or PhD degree in the field of life sciences and medicine
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in product management, business development, marketing and/or sales roles of increasing scope and responsibility in the genomics, molecular biology, or molecular diagnostic arenas in US
  • Knowledge of /familiarity with qPCR assays and in vitro diagnostic tests
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with varied personalities, including different levels within and outside of the organization
  • Strong personal drive and motivation to reach new objectives and drive change
  • Effective at driving cross-team collaboration and building consensus
  • Up to 50% travel, domestic and international, required
