Our client is a specialist healthcare company focusing in the treatment of diabetes and its accompanying disorders, such as cardiovascular disorders and diabetic neuropathy. The product range includes both prescription and OTC products as well as dietary supplements. Today our client operates in more than 35 countries and has more than 900 employees worldwide.

Following their entry into the Philippines market recently, they have hired the Country Manager and are now expanding the team to include Sales Manager. The Sales Manager is responsible for hiring, coaching and leading the Medical Sales Representatives to achieve the company’s sales targets and objectives. He / She will drive to improve performance and capabilities and create demand for the products.
He / she is accountable for managing individual territories, taking ultimate responsibility for their performance, and for delivering sales results for those areas. He / She will also actively identify business opportunities and make proposals on recommended solutions to drive and develop business.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with sales and marketing teams in order to manage and motivate teams effectively
  • Review team's and individuals' performance; provide honest and constructive feedback, and recognise and encourage good performance
  • Lead, coach and enable development of team members' skills and knowledge
  • Manage team's and individuals' skills, knowledge, and performance; set short and long term measurable, clear goals and expectations and track performance progress
  • Identify and tackle challenges and issues within the team / individual team members
  • Work with individual medical sales representative to develop appropriate / challenging goals within each territory
  • Identify and prioritize accounts with strategic value to the company
  • Develop strategies and tactics in alignment with the company’s brand strategy and direction and in compliance with local regulations and company policies
  • Build knowledge and understanding about the company and its product portfolio among sales team and all relevant target physicians and customers
  • Conduct and support sales team in establishing science-based discussions with the target physicians and customers based on approved product labelling
  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field
  • Strong customer relationship building capabilities
  • Strong leadership attributes (set direction, generate commitment, constructively resolve issues)
  • Effective coaching and development, both at individual and team level
  • Strategic thinking, judgment and persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
