Join Singapore's leading life insurer and be part of their established and evolving business. In this Product Development Manager role, you will be responsible to develop the product proposition and execute product development initiatives to support the distribution strategies.

You will work with the broader product team , and be involved across a full suite of life insurance products thorughout the year (ILP, HNW, Whole Life, Protection, Savings). We are looking for demonstrated experience in product development as a basis for consideration,  and you might have one or two strong products to share or have wide exposure across the mentioned products. This would suit individuals who can demonstrate they are a strong team player and display aptitude to be innovative, engaging and clearly communicate your propositions to stakeholders.   


About the role

  • Conceptualisation of product ideas, plan and manage product development activities for identified customer segments
  • Engage relevant stakeholders in upstream discussions, seek approval from relevant forums and ensure timelines are met
  • Perform customer research and competitive analysis
  • Work closely with Actuarial and Product Implementation and communicate product requirements for pricing and system implementation effort
  • Implement product and pricing strategy, trigger product risk assessment and prepare product approval documentation and business casing
  • Prepare and obtain sign off for Product Write-Up, Policy Contract, Product Summary and other management or administrative reports, where applicable
  • Coordinate and obtain sign-off for Product Business Case from relevant Functional Heads, and submit for Group Product Management and Approval Committee’s (GPMAC) approval
  • Product portfolio management to achieve budget and business KPIs
Key Requirements

  • Tertiary education qualification in Actuarial, Insurance, Finance or Marketing related disciplines
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, demonstrate solid  product development experience and/or product marketing , product pricing
  • Possess strong analytical skills, good understanding of financial and insurance concepts and have good quantitative abilities
  • Excellent planning, organisational, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Be engaged, and contribute as a team
