Ethos BeathChapman are working with a driving force in the financial markets data and analytics provider industry to help them complete a search for a senior (sole contributor) salesperson in Seoul to cover the Korean market.

Due to their unrivalled success and growth in this region they are looking to add a senior sales hunter to prospect for and close business in the Korea with both banks and buy side clients. Although the overall sales target will sit with you, you will be supported by a team of experts who will be there to support you close sales opportunities. They will do this through delivering product demonstrations and offering the technical expertise needed to showcase the true value of the solutions products.

This is a new business focused sales role and as such will not suit candidates who are looking for account management roles.


  • Cold call for new business in order to continuously grow your pipeline of clients
  • Execute on the sales strategy through building relationships with prospects and understanding their needs in order to be able to pitch your suite of products.
  • Manage pipeline at various stages of the sales cycle including researching, cold calling and meeting clients to give product demonstrations, negotiation of terms and conditions and closing of deals.
  • Representing the company at industry events.
  • Work closely with prospects and clients to understand pain points of the product and ensuring this feedback is presented back to the relevant teams internally to drive improved product development.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
  • A strong background in developing new business, with a proactive attitude to your work.
  • Experience selling financial data or software to the sell side or buy side in Korea.
  • A strong network across the financial market community – traders, middle office, portfolio managers etc.
  • Excellent product knowledge in fixed income and/or Equities.
  • Experience managing pipeline at different stages of the sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills.
  • Comfortable meeting and presenting to new prospects to generate new business.
  • Ability to work independently
