Our client operates in more than 35 countries and has more than 900 employees worldwide.  In 2016, the company achieved revenues of €180m. Focus on international markets in recent years has resulted in constant growth in countries such as Russia and Eastern Europe.  In the immediate future the company will continue to develop its markets including Asia, Latin America and MENA, where they have already begun to establish a presence.
The company offers customised products for diabetics with their accompanying disorders – from prevention to therapy.  The product range includes both prescription and OTC products as well as dietary supplements. 
 
PURPOSE

Following the company entry into the Thailand market in 2018, the company has since launched 2 new products and is projecting to launch a few more products progressively.
The Product Manager will be responsible for the annual marketing plan of the company in Thailand. He / She will have to work with agencies on advertising, produce educational programmes for doctors and nurses and discuss with distributors on marketing campaigns and/or merchandizing roll out.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Annual Marketing Plan
Strategic Planning:
  • Understand customer segmentation, non-prescribing customers and customer environment by market intelligence data
  • Understand competitors’ weaknesses and strengths via competitor’s intelligence, data analysis
  • Analysis consolidation: SWOT analysis
  • Develop Brand Strategy; defining strategies and identify critical success factors
  • Ensure the brand objectives are achieved within the approved A&P resources by monitoring and analyzing it on monthly basis in coordination with related departments

Operational Planning:
  • Manage the brand; propose and develop Unique Selling Point and Brand Proposition, Positioning
  • Implementation & Tactics; prepare marketing mix and Implementation Plan
  • Prepare market base forecasting
  • Manage Information gaps; market research, assess competitive activity
 
Ensure Marketing Planning Cycle:
  • Research & Analysis: Examine markets, customers and competitors
  • Define assumptions (key issues), Establish Objectives, Determine strategies, Set sales goals, Set budget
  • Implement: Assign tasks, Carry out the plan
  • Control: Measure results, Evaluate, Propose & carry out corrective action.
Long Range Plan
  • Prepare sales, market share, patient flow, promotional budget and objectives
Communication
  • Define key issues and proposal solutions to Country Manager
  • Schedule meeting with related department to solve problems
  • Well-prepared marketing plans for brand meetings and Business Review to discuss and receive feedbacks
  • Prepare and present on quarterly basis to the cross-functional business partners in addition to the market, product, competition, programs implementation overview in BRMs (brand review meetings)
  • Ensure that field-force understand the communication strategy and the action plan by providing them regular POA (Plan of Action) in a simplified / easy to understand version
  • Field works: ensure field work KPIs
  • Dual Visits: Ensuring field visits with the reps
  • Promotional materials: define how many promotional materials (brochures, gimmicks, documents, etc.) will be used in the year
 
Training
  • Ensure FF understand key messages of the brands
  • Promotional materials: Timely preparation and provision of promotional materials to the FF and to ensure FF understand contents of promotional materials

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Science and MBA or relevant business qualifications is preferred
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Product Management
  • Prior working experience in MNC Pharmaceutical covering diabetes/neurology field preferred
  • Good understanding of Pharma market and healthcare system
  • Good demonstration of presentation and communication skills
  • Result-oriented with can-do attitudes and innovative thinking
  • Good planning, stakeholder management and project management skills
  • Good marketing analysis and good business planning skills
  • Self-motivated, result & customer oriented, team player and service minded
  • Able to motivate and coach sales team
  • Able to travel upcountry or aboard when required
  • Willing to accept additional workload and organization changes (new brands, tasks, responsibilities)
