Key Responsibilities

The position is focused on TGS activities related to selling and deploying solutions in the RPA and data integration business.

The Pre-sales Tasks Will Typically Be

  • Giving presentations
  • Preparing standard and custom demonstrations for Sales Account Executives and resellers Position how fits in the customers' IT architecture
  • Leading or assisting with Proof of Concepts
  • Answering RFI/RFP’s
  • Providing implementation recommendations
  • Helping to empower others within and outside of the organization to also become product experts
Required Skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to differentiate your message depending on the audience.
  • Ability to work well with others with solid interpersonal skills.
  • Good HTML, HTTP and JavaScript skills
  • Technical proficiency with SQL and experience with using at least one database platform (e.g. MySQL, SQLServer, Oracle, etc).
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Applications.
  • Basic Linux (preferable RedHat and/or Debian) know-how.
  • Be able work systematically and creatively at the same time.
  • A relevant academic degree: BA or MS in Software Development or similar, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a software development position, and 3 years’ experience in a pre-sales capacity.
  • Skills in the Robots Processing Automation industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience relative to other aspects of the Kofax digital transformation platform with a preference on OCR/Transformation technologies.
  • Assist in maintaining a professional customer environment with positive customer satisfaction
  • Make a concerted effort to stay abreast of technological advances and Kofax’s industry overall

All Sales Engineers regardless of title must possess the following skills and knowledge:

Communications/Listening Skills

(Internal & external) – including but not limited to professional writing, problem escalation, and good analysis skills as outlined below.

Analysis/Discovery (ROI) -

Ability to plan for and conduct an Interview with the prospect and/or customer to determine the true business requirements to help build a valid Return on Investment (ROI).

Sales & Presentation Skills

Professional presentation skills and experience in team selling, solution selling methodologies, and an understanding of and ability to utilize the Sales Process

Time Management

Ability to manage projects including preparation for presentations and demonstrations, training, scheduling, and reporting, and expense processing. This is critical to the success of the sales opportunities as the Sales Engineer will be required to manage multiple sales campaigns at any given time.
