- Improve the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products
- Keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed
- Come in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, etc.
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
- Hands-on experience developing cloud native applications on platforms like CloudFoundry, Kubernetes, DC/OS, Heroku, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
- Exposure to Chaos Engineering principles for delivery of highly available & reliable software on cloud platforms using tools such as Chaos Monkey is a strong plus
- Exposure to resiliency patterns like circuit breakers, bulkheads, backpressure, etc. using tools like Hystrix is a strong plus
- Exposure to effective operational patterns like SLOs, metrics, health checks, error budgets, distributed tracing, etc., using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Zipkin, ELK, etc. is a strong plus
