We are looking for an experienced, passionate and highly driven Quality Engineering Leader who is looking to step into a new and exciting opportunity to create, define and establish the testing and quality agenda for a large organisation based in the Banking & Finance Domain.
The role will see you set a clear vision of direction whilst working in a complex environment whilst working on critical software projects across a wide range of applications. You will be working closely with various business units and partners to ensure quality software based experiences whilst meeting high policy and procedural standards.
The role will start as an initial 6 month contract with the view to extend given the amount of work mapped out ahead.
Interviews will be done.

Responsibilities of the Role include:
  •  To communicate and manage Quality outcomes from a varied landscape of partners and Cloud SAAS providers
  •  Championing continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to re-use and automate
  •  Provide advice on Industry leading practices and expert recommendations to teams, that include members from diverse disciplines and backgrounds, running in multi speed and cadence delivery methods.
  •  Leveraging your strong understanding and thought leadership of Quality Engineering principles to help improve quality and test activities
  •  Displaying a passion to research, monitor and connect value to business outcomes via a modern system architecture that is evergreen, API based and always on
  •  Working with various squads and villages to build a technical quality engineering roadmap using the best fit frameworks, languages, techniques, and emerging technologies
  •  The ability to communicate highly technical solutions and produce documentation that is accessible for varying audiences.
  •  To bring a test and learn mindset with curiosity and collaboration
  •  Support the stakeholders and development teams in preparing for and executing the planning events
  •  Mentoring and assisting team members as a lead working through challenges, always leading by example
  •  Supporting and scaling high performing test teams that strive to innovate, challenge, set new standards.
Technical Stack you will work on (but not limited to)
  •  API management, microservice architecture, integration patterns, development and testing methodologies.
  •  Languages such as Java / Kotlin / etc (android app development and API test automation), Objective C / Swift (iOS app development) and Javascript (react-native / ionic development).
  •  Tech stacks such as Postman, Cucumber, Cryptomathic, Threatmetrix, Apigee, Salesforce etc.
  •  Web, mobile, AI/ML, Machine Learning
  •  Continuous delivery and DevOps, TDD/BDD, Automation, Amazon Web Services etc
  •  Complex and disparate non-production environments (modern & legacy) and data landscape
