A market leading media business based in the CBD requires an interim CFO to lead the finance team through a period of significant change. The business has pivoted significantly to take advantage of new market opportunities presented by Covid and as such the way the business is structured from a revenue and cost perspective has also changed significantly. Initially the role will focus on identifying and solving legacy issues caused by the change in business structure before implementing better reporting and analysis functionality to assist the board with better decision making.

This role will suit an experienced CFO revels in the opportunity to solve problems and improve process.


  • Solve legacy issues relating to reconciliations and reporting and design new processes for the changed business structure
  • Internal management reports, forecasting, KPI reports and variance analysis.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Statutory compliance & reporting taxation/GST/FBT/Payroll Tax etc,
  • Leading change, innovation and continuous improvement in systems, work processes and practices to achieve operational efficiency's.
  • Managing, leading and developing our growing finance team
  • Maintaining and improving existing performance dashboards for key staff
  • Partner with the senior leadership team on strategic growth initiatives

  • Previous CFO experience in a commercial role
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Strong examples of Financial, Operational, Commercial and Strategic Leadership
  • Experience in process improvement and restructuring
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
