Our client is a financial services organisation with a focus to transform the way they deliver excellence and innovation. We currently have a need for a Senior Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in mainframe programming and Life Insurance. This opportunity is an initial 6-12+ month rolling engagement starting in Feb 2021.

The role is critical in driving requirements and documentation, solutions and ongoing support of business solutions. You will be responsible for engaging with business and technology stakeholders to define, manage and communicate requirements to deliver IT solutions for BAU change requests or compliance projects. As a result, strong stakeholder management and engagement skills are paramount.
 
Skills and experience includes:
  • Previous experience in the Life Insurance industry as a Senior Mainframe Programmer, System Analyst or Technical BA.
  • Experience across a broad range of technologies including mainframe, COBOL, JCL, Salesforce (optional), etc.
  • Ability to navigate mainframe systems and read / code COBOL programs.
  • Extensive experience in Life Insurance, Super and legislative changes, i.e. SuperStream, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in projects focusing on delivering financial reports in accordance with new accounting standards is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; Strong negotiation and facilitation skills;
