About the Opportunity
 
Sitting with very clever group of Actuaries within a Finance team, you will have full responsibility for producing insights into the life insurance market through in-depth experience investigations and analytics projects
  
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement improvements to the experience investigation process through automation and monitoring of experience
  • Utilise machine learning tools (including R) to support the experience investigations process
  • Impact the portfolio in a technical and commercial capacity - ensuring that claims levels are in line with the business
  • Partner closely with the other actuarial teams and claims teams to ensure that model development, data and process optimisation and identifying experience drivers are aligned
  • Manage senior level stakeholders with detailed analysis of claims and other relevant data
About You:
  • Fully Qualified (FIAA or equivalent)
  • 4+ years of Australian life insurance experience is preferred
  • Tertiary degree in a quantitative field - actuarial, statistics, maths, economics
  • Experience with data tools such as R -  especially in an end-to-end data analytics (data extraction, manipulation, modelling and visualisation).
  • Modelling experience along with practical experience in data modelling, data mining and data manipulation.
