The Role & The Organisation:

This is a 6-12 month contract role to support governance around Operational Risk Management and Reporting, ensuring risks are captured, managed and reported on accurately. You will be joining an ASX Top 20 Financial Institution that has a high level of risk maturity, who are also continuously uplifting to achieve better practice and performance.
 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver high quality BAU risk reporting, ad hoc reporting and deep dive analysis for the management and Risk Committee monthly.
  • Measure and evaluate Operational Risk insights and capabilities for reporting to proactively identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Build and maintain risk metrics, dashboards and systems across the Operational Risk team.
  • Function as a risk governance specialist, constantly looking into opportunities and innovations to uplift operational risk maturity.
  • Constantly engage across the executive-level stakeholders across the business – including Risk, Cyber, Advisory & Audit teams.


Requirements:

 

 

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in a Risk Governance and Reporting role in Financial Services (General Insurance preferred).
  • Deep understanding of Operational Risk Frameworks and Financial Services regulations (esp. CPS 220).
  • Experienced in reporting with JIRA, Confluence and MS Excel.
  • Ability to deep dive into risk issues with an analytical approach.
  • High level of interpersonal and influencing skills as well as the ability to converse technically with senior stakeholders.
  • Professional qualifications with IIA, ICAA, CPA, Lean 6 Sigma, CISA, RIMA, ANZIIF equivalent are desirable but not mandatory.
